Castellani Principesco Chianti is an Italian dry red wine from the Chianti region of Tuscany, produced in a traditional style from the Sangiovese grape. It expresses the classic Chianti character—freshness, vibrant fruit expression, and moderate acidity—while remaining approachable in style and versatile with food.
The Castellani winery was founded at the end of the 19th century and officially registered in 1903. It is a family-owned winery now managed by Piergiorgio Castellani and his brothers and is considered one of Italy’s leading family wine producers. In 2003, the family-owned company celebrated 100 years since its first wine export, and today Castellani’s high-quality wines are shipped to 46 countries worldwide.
The company owns 250 hectares of land in the Chianti Classico area and in some of Tuscany’s most prestigious vineyards, including the Pisan Hills. Wineries are located in every production region, allowing harvested grapes to be processed immediately. For more than ten years, Castellani vineyards have been environmentally friendly, using no insecticides, pesticides, GMOs, or other chemicals harmful to nature or human health.
